NDA and Naval Academy Examination – 2014
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination(I) 2014 on 20 April 2014 for admission to the Army,Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA.Unmarried males interested in joining either of the services can apply online.Candidates joining Naval Academy will undergo 4 years B.Tech. Course and will be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy.
Candidates born between 2 January 1995 – 1 July 1998 are eligible to apply.
For Army wing of NDA:
12th (10+2 pattern) or equivalent from a State Education Board / University.
For Air Force and Naval wing of NDA
(10+2) Cadet Entry Scheme at Naval Academy,12th (10+2 pattern) or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics from a State Education Board / University.
candidates will have to submit the proof of their passing the mentioned exam by 5 December 2014.
Examination fee of Rs.100 have to be submit either by depositing the money in any Branch of State Bank of India by cash,
or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India / State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur / State Bank of Hyderabad /
State Bank of Mysore / State Bank of Patiala / State Bank of Travancore or through Visa / Master Credit / Debit Card.
(SC / ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees.)
Admission will be made on the basis of candidates’ performance in
> Written Exam
> Intelligence and Personality test.
Candidates need to be qualified in Written Exam to appear for the Intelligence and Personality test
> The written exam will be of Objective Type
> It contains Multiple Choice with provision of negative marking for wrong answer.
The result of written exam will be declared by July 2014.
Points to be noted while filling application:
- Candidates must specify the service for which he wishes to be considered for.
- Sholud make maximum preference since,they will be considered for admission to only those services which they opted.
- Candidates selected for exam will be informed of the time table and place (s) of exam.
- Candidates must undertake not to marry until they complete their training.
- Those who marry during training would be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred by the Government on him.

Eligible candidates will be issued an e-Admission Certificate 3 (three) weeks before the commencement of the examination,will be made available on the UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in] for downloading.
All applicants should provide a valid, active e-mail ID for correspondence related to issue of admit cards, results etc.Originals of documents / certificates will have to be produced at the time of Interview.
